1. Name of Ability: Bonds of the Earth
Level of Ability: H/ML
Element/Type: Plant/trap

2. Name of Ability: Scoth’s blessing
Level of Ability: HL/MY
Element/Type: Plant/Healing/ Enhancement
Description: If Tarrus should choose to, she can heal someone when they are at the brink of death. She achieves this by using enchanted spores from the flowers growing on her body, and casting it over the user while singing Gaelic.
3. Name of Ability: Blight of Sorrow
Level of Ability: AL/D
Element/Type: Curse/Plant/Forbidden
Description: When angered, Tarrus can sicken and warp living plants in her general area. This changes plants into twisted monsters, which then attempt to attack and kill whatever living beings are before them. Generally this creates Ent-like beings (tree monsters) This is a rare ability.
4. Name of Ability: Lover’s grief
Level of Ability: HL/MY
Element/Type: Poison/Curse
Description: On the flipside of being able to heal, Tarrus can utter this word over one of the many thorns on her body (or extend a thorn covered vine in other forms), making them toxic. 5. Name of Ability: Mo Ghile Mear
Level of Ability: NL/ML
Element/Type: Enchantment
Tarrus can use this ability to sing in Gaelic, luring people to her. The user for a brief amount of time ignores all others and thoughts, only focusing on following the sound of the voice. This only works on Male users.
Strengths: Powerful plant based magic’s, healing, wit and cunning, incredibly huge and powerful 9 headed demon form is very hard to hurt, charm, some plant based alchemy
Weaknesses: Fire/Fire based magic, her ultimate form is very slow moving, her reluctance to take a human form means she does not interact much outside ‘her’ nation, and is considerably more weaker (physically) when is a human.
Attitude: Tarrus is a typical demon, she only ever raises a limb to help anyone if it means she will get something in return. Before her ‘founding’ of the Tree Nation, she was murderous, spiteful, and angry, taking any and every opportunity to break someone’s heart. Weather it be though outright murder or the slow death of a loved one. Particularly young couples. She believes herself to be somewhat indestructible, being a 9 headed demon, and has no problem talking down to any other being. A bit egotistical, she enjoys the attention the people in the Tree nation give her, and does somewhat think of herself as god-like. Currently though she is content, demanding sacrifice and tributes to quell her bloodlust.
Appearance: Tarrus, in the rare times she takes a human form, resembles a rather pretty woman with sharp angular features. However, her eyes betray her demonic blood, with glowing green irises and black sclera, along with long, knee-length green hair, peppered with the odd leaf and twig. She is about 5’9’’, with a thin slim frame and dark tan skin. In this form she will wear lovely green or brown dresses, decorated with Celtic knot patterns. She only uses this form to really appear to her worshiping mortals, so she figures she should play up the ‘goddess’ factor somewhat. She adopts rather neutral expressions in the form, so she comes off to be rather deadpan.
Her most common form, her multiple-headed demon form (Thheum), resembles a twisted mass of trees/vines/plants in a vague shape of a fox. Her very body is made from living plants, including mosses, fungi, and flowers. The living trees on her back often support small colonies of birds, and indeed wildlife lives in and on her. You can see a better picture of her over here. She is HUGE, her heads tend to break above the forest canopy, so she is about 200 feet high, she is made of living trees you know.
Her Urrgronda form looks like a small green fox, with grass ‘fur” and root-like legs, from far away she can be mistaken for a normal fox, save for the odd coloration. Her Grrusonma from looks like a large deer-sized canine like creature made wood and sporting thin needle-legs. Her Zrrjucha form looks a lot like her Grrusonma from, but she increased in size (about the size of a draft horse), but she is now covered with bioluminescent mushrooms and fungi among her rotting wood body. Her Qeeso form is a step below her multi-headed form. She stays around the same size as her Zrrjucha form, but the rotting wood and dirt is replaced with green living vines and thorns. Flowers and other plants decorate the newly grown ‘hair’ of grass and leaves. She takes a stronger resemblance to a fox in this form, where as her previous forms (save for her Urrgronda form) resembled vague monstrosities.
History/Biography of Character: Tarrus was once a young woman who worked as a herbalist in her village, hundreds of years ago. She made various remedies and medicines with the plants she cultivated and was highly respected in her village. She eventually married her knight in shining armor, and it seemed that the two would have a long happy life together. Sadly that would not be the case. Her husband began to cheat on her with other women in the village, eventually catching him in the act. When caught, instead of choosing to try to lie his way out, he simply told her he did not love her anymore, and simply left to be with another woman. Stricken blind with grief and rage, she used her skills in botany to mix up a deadly poison. She then fatally poisoned her ex-husband and his various lovers, before consuming the mixture herself. Her grief, rage, anguish, and her multiple murders of both others and herself, caused her to be born again as a demon.
She was reborn then in her Urrgronda form, mindless causing as much pain and suffering as she could, before she was slain by a holy man. He tried to cleanse her soul to move it off the mortal plane, but it did not work, instead she was born again as a Grrusonma. Her grief began to return, and began to only attack newly wed couples. After a year of wandering the country, she was eventually slain by a wandering knight. This caused her to be reborn again as a Zrrjucha, this time remembering why she was so angry. She began again to lure men into the forest where she haunted with her lovely voice, before slaughtering them. Eventually the clans of the land gathered together and killed her, whereas she took the next step and became a Qeeso. This time she put the mindless murders aside, instead focusing on causing suffering by ruining crops and tainting medicinal herbs. Eventually the area’s holy men saw this as the mark of a demon, and they managed to destroy her after a long and casualty heavy battle.
Her bitterness and rage caused her to be reborn yet again, as a Thheum. She wandered around the British Isles, never finding rest or purpose in her quest to cause pain. Eventually she came to rest in the dense forests of the island, where she stayed put for a few decades. When she ‘awoke’, she was surprised to see a nomadic group of people leaving offerings and sacrifices at her feet. The people saw her form, and immediately mistook her for a goddess. At first Tarrus was going to wipe them all out, but when they fell and began to worship her, she held off. Amused at such things, she spoke to ‘her people’, allowing them to figure her a goddess. The people then built a village around her, which turned to a city, and then several hundred years later, a Nation. It became the Tree Nation, and Tarrus currently ‘blesses’ their crops, protects the city, and grants knowledge of magic in return for the nation’s worship and loyalty. Whist she could destroy them all at any given notice, it amuses her to end, so she allows this to continue. This also keeps her rage at bay, holding back her murderous tendencies, so at the moment the once terror of the country side is content.
Role in SD: Tarrus is a Neutral party; she can help or hinder anyone, as long as there’s something in it for her in the end. For now she is content to stay in the Tree Nation, where she is revered and worshiped, satisfying her more egotistical and megalomaniac tendencies. Content where she is, she’d rather not risk what she has now for a slim chance of getting something. She is worshiped, and it’s pretty tough to find something to top that. She does however, find amusement in all this, and will grant favors to people who ask, even lending her magic to them, if the fancy strikes her.
